Even if you never quit your day job, you stand an excellent chance of being successful in this business if you are patient and prudent. Build your business slowly and carefully, and have fun doing it! We never set out to get rich. We set out to see if we could excel at something that we enjoyed, while exploring our own gifts and talents. If your focus is similar, you will do well.

We hope that as your business develops, so will your skills. Remember the checklist of things you needed back in chapter 3? Many of those were skills and character qualities. It will be fun for you to watch as your own portfolio of skills and abilities grows. And remember, people skills are the key! There is simply no shortcut for relationships, and relationships will be mutually beneficial nearly every time. Work hard in this area and you will find that you will enjoy yourself more and your business will be more successful.
